With Hertz Car Sales, purchasing a vehicle is finally the worry-free and exciting experience that it should be! Hertz Rent2Buy is also a division of The Hertz Corporation, but is a different business model. Rent2Buy is a new way to buy a used rental car and operates in selected states, including California and Hawaii. Customers have an opportunity for a three-day test rental. If the customer purchases the car, he is credited with up to three days of rental charges, and the purchase transaction is completed through the internet and by mail in those states where permitted. In some states, including California, Rent2Buy transactions are completed at Hertz licensed dealer locations. Rent2Buy cars are priced very competitively, reflecting that they are taken directly from the rental fleet and thus are not prepared for sale to the same degree as vehicles on the Car Sales lots. Since cars are sold “As Is” unless state law requires a warranty, customers may wish to take the car to their own mechanic for inspection prior to purchasing it. |
